One of the three C’s that is a core mission of our organization is our community. We get together as a group at various times of the year to volunteer for different organizations. The members love to get into action!

In the past few years, our group has volunteered with many philanthropic projects.  To share a few with you; Served Mary’s Place (women’s shelter) Thanksgiving Dinners and various shelter family meals; adopted families for the holidays; raised money and collected books for Page Ahead; volunteered for Northwest Hope and Healing by assisting in creating healing baskets for their cancer patients, as well as volunteering for their fashion show; volunteering for Overlake Hospital Auction, Sibling House, Farestart and much more.

We have partnered with Page Ahead for the last 9 years and we have raised over $9,500 to provide books to children in the Seattle area.  Also we have given Philanthropy Awards to the following organizations, Mary’s Place, Pasado’s Safe Haven, Antioch Adoption Services, Center for Children & Youth Justice, First Tee of Greater Seattle, and Camp Korey.

In January, we got off to a great start in serving dinner to the residents of one of Mary’s Place Homeless Shelters. This is one of our favorite activities.  With participation from both our Seattle Branch and our Tacoma Branch, much love and warmth was spread.  Bringing a potluck style dinner, we served the families staying in the shelter for the evening.  This included, bringing in the food, preparing it, serving it and the best of all, visiting with the residents. We are so thankful to be able to give back to such a wonderful group of people.
